Ancient traditions and the wide knowledge of bygone days play little role in today's society. Involving 5 project partners, the four towers project makes an attempt to change that by directing attention to the outstanding work of the local farmers in the Hungarian-Croatian cross-border region within the scope of various activities thus preventing these traditions and traditional products from being forgotten.
The project partners create a thematic route for these local farmers; in addition, they provide the opportunity for them to put their products and produces on display and to sell them on a number of famous and great events at home and on the other side of the border as well.
The main aim of the project is to set up such a database of farmers that would help event organisers and visitors to the area or even the local residents to discover and find these local values easily.
In the scope of the project the 4 towers brand is developed which would assist in promoting local farmers: various publications, maps, mobile applications, road marks and information signposts are made to advertise the thematic route of the local farmers.
As a result of the project a virtual thematic route under a common brand name is to be developed which connects the local and historical values of the two countries thus contributing to the support and promotion of these traditions and to the further development of cultural interactions by the border.
